Street art is creative, fun and unique. Although this form of art has been increasingly been adopted for use in advertising, it’s    still remains a label often associated with artists who wish to keep their work unaffiliated and a form of personal expression. There are 3D and 2D street art. 3d Street Art, often known as 3d chalk art is 2-dimensional artwork drawn on the street itself that gives you a 3-dimensional optical illusion from a certain perspective. It can be very breath taking, realistic and at the same time captivating once you get the angle correct. And creating one is certainly through and challenging as you are creating a realistic 3d view out of a 2d painting. 3d street art are gaining much popularity these days. Notable brands are already taking advantage of public’s curiosity on 3D street paintings to create awareness for their products.

MAC Wonderwoman

I created this artwork last year for my individual project last year. My topic was cosmetic. I was inspired by pop art and by the wonderwoman collection of the cosmetics they launched in tangs. I decided to combine the wonderwoman comic strip into a design for a cosmetic product which was the compact powder.

I did this compact powder out of a huge blue board cut into the compact powder shape. Used sponge paper for the details to show the 3d effects. I cut smaller cardboard for the inner part of the compact powder and used aluminum foil to serve as the mirror of the compact powder. I also made the brush out with the wordings of the logo of MAC at the bottom of the brush and the wonderwoman logo on the top.

This photo was captured when I went to Takashimaya Orchard. I found the Peonies in a Parfume Shop. They used the flower's scents as their latest Parfume. I have always been a fan of this flower because I found them very pretty so I took a photo of it and post it on my Instagram Account. I added a filter using Landcam app for iPhone because the photo i took was too yellowish.

Homesick

This work is painted by coffee. It's about the eye that kept a lot of memories and there are tears flown from the eye. If you look thoroughly into the eyeball you will see some photos of our memories. This work tell about our feeling, since we far from our home, our family, and our friends, sometimes we feel 'homesick'. sometimes we miss our routine when we are still in high school and our family who always stay near us.

[One 'fine' day] Rho JaeSeo

Creative Commons License
One 'fine' day by Rho JaeSeo is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. This photo was taken in the year of 2011 in Korea. I was climbing a hill and when I looked back, a fair view of the village captured my mind. The village looks very quiet, peaceful and gloomy and in fact, it really was. It seemed that it was a normal day for the villagers. I emphasised on the word 'fine' because I wanted to tell the viewers that a 'fine day' reminiscents joyfulness for us, but for the villagers here might associate it differently.

Red Sadness

 Creative Commons License
This is Red Sadness that i recently created. I was inspired by the art pieces of Agnes Cecile that i wanted to try it out. Her art is very unique and have her own style to it compared to other paintings. because of he watercolor and as well as line that she used on her art that attracts me so much.

As you can see from this art work, i still got a long way to go to be like her. I need to start creating more pieces like these and improve on it more. i hope that eventually i can be like her, and the way she draw things so confidently.
